How to Get Started with Snapdeck

Creating slides often takes longer than expected. You need to plan the structure, organize the content, align the design, and revise anything that does not feel quite right.
Snapdeck is an AI slide creation tool built to make that process faster and easier. You can start with a prompt to create a full deck, then regenerate only the parts you want to improve or use Magic Edit to refine specific details.
This guide walks through the basic Snapdeck workflow for first-time users.
1. Create Your First Deck
Slide creation starts on the Snapdeck home screen.
Type the topic or key message of the deck into the prompt box. For example:
Create a presentation about 2026 AI workflow automation trends. The audience is startup operators, and the presentation should take about 10 minutes.
After entering the prompt, choose a style and theme. Snapdeck first generates an outline, then creates the full deck based on that structure.
2. Review the Generated Outline
Once the deck is created, start by checking the overall flow.
Click the outline button at the bottom to see how Snapdeck structured the deck. Reviewing each section makes it easier to spot missing content, awkward flow, or slides that need revision.
Checking the outline before editing the design can save a lot of unnecessary work.
3. Regenerate the Whole Deck
Sometimes the content is right, but the design does not feel right yet. In that case, you do not need to start over. You can regenerate the full deck using the same outline and content.
Click New Slide on the left, then choose Regenerate deck. Snapdeck keeps the existing content and creates a new design direction.
The previous deck is preserved as a separate version, so you can compare versions and choose the one that works best.
4. Regenerate One Slide
If most of the deck works but one slide feels off, you can regenerate only that slide.
Click the single-slide regenerate button at the bottom, then describe the change you want in natural language.
You might ask:
- Reduce the text and show only the key message.
- Add a visual like a bar chart.
- Make this slide more concise for a live presentation.
Snapdeck understands the request and regenerates only the selected slide while keeping the overall deck flow and design consistent.
5. Change Style and Theme
The same content can feel very different depending on the style and theme.
In Snapdeck, you can choose styles based on the situation. Use a more information-rich style for report-like decks, or a more visual style for concise presentation slides.
Changing the theme adjusts the colors and overall impression of the deck. It is useful when you want to match a brand color or set the right tone for the topic.
When the settings are ready, click Regenerate in the top right. Snapdeck creates a new version based on the existing content and your selected style and theme.
6. Edit a Specific Area with Magic Edit
When you only want to change one part of a slide, use Magic Edit.
Click Magic Edit in the bottom toolbar, then drag over the area you want to revise. An input box will appear, where you can describe the edit you want.
For example:
- Add one more explanatory sentence to this area.
- Change the bar chart into a line chart.
- Make this part stand out more.
- Make the text shorter and clearer.
Snapdeck understands both the selected area and your instruction, then updates only that part. It is especially useful for detailed edits because you do not need to regenerate the whole slide.
7. Let Auto Agent Handle the Draft
If you want Snapdeck to handle the structure and design direction at once, use Auto Agent.
Enter the topic or key message on the home screen, then select Auto Agent. The Snapdeck Agent automatically plans the number of slides, outline, section content, and design direction.
This is especially helpful when you are not sure how to divide the story or how many slides you need.
For first-time users, a good workflow is to start with Auto Agent, then refine the draft with Magic Edit or regeneration.
Wrap-up
Snapdeck helps you create slides more easily from start to finish.
You can generate a full deck from a prompt, review the outline, regenerate the whole deck or a single slide, and refine details with Magic Edit. You can also change the style and theme to create a different mood from the same content, or use Auto Agent to let AI plan the slide structure for you.
Build your next presentation with Snapdeck and an AI Agent that helps you move from blank page to polished deck faster.
