Best AI portfolio makers in 2026

Search compresses this job into one line: the best AI portfolio maker in 2026. That line hides different objects. Sometimes the portfolio is a site someone opens from a link. Sometimes it is a slide deck you leave behind after a review.
Snapdeck, Gamma, Canva, and Manus can all start from a prompt. There is no ranking in this post. The split is what the next person actually opens. 🙂
Gamma, Canva, and Manus are described from their official sites and help docs, checked on 2026-10-11. Their logged-in editors were not opened. Snapdeck is described from the features page and pricing page checked the same day, plus earlier posts on this blog.
The word is the same. The object is not.
Gamma’s portfolio websites page is a site builder. It says you can input projects or media files and have Gamma generate image galleries, project summaries, testimonials, and timeline layouts. Themes and multimedia embeds present the work. Gallery order, project descriptions, fonts, and styles are edited with drag and drop, and formatting adjusts as you edit. Publishing is a free gamma.site domain or a custom domain. The same page points at Google Tag Manager and Meta Pixel for analytics.
Canva’s portfolio website page is also a site. It describes starting from templates, editing with drag and drop, and publishing a one-page site on a free Canva domain. A custom domain is described as a Canva Pro purchase. The downloads named on that page are PDF, JPG, and PNG. Canva Print is the path it gives for a physical copy. A presentation is a different help article. Create a presentation with Canva AI starts on the homepage: Canva AI, then Design, then Presentation. You enter a prompt, edit the outline, and choose Generate presentation.
Manus’s Slides docs describe a presentation built from a description. Manus conducts research, writes the content, designs the slides, generates visuals, and writes speaker notes for every slide. The creative slide templates page includes “Artistic portfolio slides” for artists, designers, and photographers, and says the useful portfolio templates emphasize work with large image placeholders and clean layouts. Documented exports are PowerPoint, PDF, Web Slides, and a speaker-notes document. A portfolio-website product page like Gamma’s or Canva’s was not found in the Manus docs checked here.
Snapdeck’s features page treats a portfolio as a slide style, alongside Report, Keynote, and Proposal. That page does not describe publishing a hosted site.

The Snapdeck flow for a portfolio deck
The features page orders the work as input, outline, generate, then edit. A portfolio deck is that sequence with the Portfolio style selected. How the content is divided is covered in the Portfolio style post: problem, your role, evidence, decision, and outcome. That post also says the style does not fill in employers or figures that are not in the source.
- Input. Write the topic, key points, goals, and audience, and attach source material you already have. Set the slide count and aspect ratio here.
- Outline. Review and edit each slide’s content and order before any designs are generated. Remove, add, and reorder.
- Generated deck. Choose Portfolio as the style, choose a theme, and generate the slides. The features page also says you can generate a new design from the same outline. Custom themes are listed on Pro and Team in the pricing table.
- Edit. Change text, shapes, and images directly in the Figma-style editor. Or select an area and ask Magic for the change. Compare the suggestion before you apply it.
- Export. PPTX is the file for continuing in PowerPoint. Figma is the file for continuing in a design tool. The export menus described in the PPTX post and the Figma export post also include PDF and PNG. On the pricing page, PPTX export and Figma export are listed for Pro and Team, and the Free cells are blank. The free plan covers about 2 decks.
If the slides already exist, the features page also describes starting from an existing PPTX. The Reference / Import split after that upload is the one in the PPTX post.
The Figma post describes each slide arriving as a Frame, with text, shapes, and images kept as layers where the export can carry them. It also says complex effects can fall back to images.
Where Gamma, Canva, and Manus fit better
These are the jobs their docs actually describe. They are not a scoreboard.
Gamma fits when the portfolio has to be a link. Galleries, project summaries, testimonials, and timelines become site blocks. You publish on gamma.site, or connect your own domain on Pro. You can set a page title and description, and add Tag Manager or Meta Pixel. The publish help also describes converting an existing gamma into a site. The same article says Gamma does not currently revert that site back into the original presentation format. Slides have to be copied into a new presentation.
Gamma’s file exits are wide: PDF, PNG, PPTX, and Google Slides by uploading that PPTX. The export help says the file matches Present mode, the PowerPoint slide master is empty, and PDF or PPTX from a Free workspace carries a “Made by Gamma” badge. A later export on a paid plan drops the badge. If the work moves between a deck and a site, and the link is the thing you send, Gamma is the closer tool. A shorter deck-versus-link comparison is in Gamma and Snapdeck.
Canva fits when you want a template site, and print or other designs sit next to it. The portfolio page describes free templates, stock photos and video, fonts, graphs, and timelines. You can publish a one-page site on a free Canva domain and share the link to social. Downloads named there are PDF, JPG, and PNG. A printed piece goes through Canva Print. The same page points at an AI resume builder as a companion.
For a presentation, Canva AI shows an outline first, and the help article says you can use Web Research on the topic. Edit with AI starts from a template’s style plus your prompt. The article also says you can attach a PDF or Word file for context. Generating that presentation is a premium AI tool that counts toward monthly usage. PPTX download, per the file-type help, works for presentation designs only, not other design types. A portfolio built as a website stays on the PDF, JPG, and PNG downloads that page lists. The same help says a PPTX may look different in PowerPoint, and animations and embedded videos are not supported there. Canva’s Figma help is about bringing assets into Canva as PNG or SVG. Figma (.fig) is not in the download-type list.
Manus fits when the deck needs research and speaker notes before it needs a canvas. The Slides docs say a description becomes research, content, design, visuals, and speaker notes on every slide. Uploading a company PowerPoint template applies its layouts, colors, and fonts. Uploading CSV or Excel creates charts. Afterward you ask for changes in conversation, or download the PPTX and edit it in PowerPoint or Google Slides. PDF, Web Slides, and a separate speaker-notes document are also on the export list. If the portfolio is a visual showcase with large image placeholders, the creative templates page describes that use. The export list checked here does not include Figma (.fig), and it does not include the portfolio-site publish steps in the Gamma and Canva help.
Which one to open
Open Gamma or Canva when the result is a site. Gamma builds galleries, summaries, testimonials, and timelines from a prompt or from work you already have, then publishes on a free subdomain. Canva builds a one-page site from templates and stock, and it is the one that also describes print plus PDF, JPG, and PNG. Custom domains are paid on both: Pro in Gamma’s help, Canva Pro on Canva’s portfolio page.
Open Manus when you need a researched presentation and speaker notes. The docs describe applying your own PowerPoint template, charts from tabular data, and export to PPTX, PDF, and Web Slides.
Open Snapdeck when the portfolio is a case-study deck you edit, then hand off as PowerPoint or Figma. You review the outline, generate slides in the Portfolio style, and revise on the canvas or with Magic. PPTX and Figma export are on Pro and Team. The free plan is about 2 decks.
None of the four covers every exit. Decide whether the next person opens a link or a file, and the choice gets smaller.
To start a portfolio as a deck in Snapdeck, enter the topic and the source material, then choose the Portfolio style after the outline.
