Choose Pitch or Snapdeck by how your team builds and hands off the deck

You know the moment. The deck is not a solo job. Teammates split slides, a prospect needs one link with every asset, and someone still wants a PPTX or a Figma file at the end.
Pitch and Snapdeck both start there. A prompt or an AI flow becomes a presentation draft. On speed alone, they can look similar.
The split is who edits together and what the customer opens, and what file leaves when you are done.

The draft is easy. The team and the handoff are not.
Pitch’s product pages put real-time co-creation, comments, slide assignments, and client-facing Pitch rooms near the center. Pitch rooms are described as hubs for decks, files, links, and action items, shared by link, with engagement data on visits and views. The help article walks through adding presentations, action items, and link options such as email capture or a passcode. Outside the workspace, you can invite guests from Share with view, comment, or edit permissions. In the editor, Follow collaborators lets you track a teammate’s cursor across slides.
Drafts can also start with Pitch Agent. The create-a-presentation help article says you choose Create with AI on the dashboard, enter a prompt (optionally with PDF, MD, TXT, CSV, or image context), pick a template, and Generate. The product page continues with “Co-create in real time,” brand libraries, engagement analytics, and CRM connections.
Snapdeck’s home is built around a presentation deck. The headline reads “Build a winning deck in a snap.” Under it is a prompt box. You pick a canvas ratio of 16:9, 4:3, or 4:5, and you set the slide count with a stepper. The buttons on that screen are Web Research, Web Scrap, Import PPTX, and Auto Agent. The home model list chooses which model drafts the deck.
Up to here, both tools skip the blank slide. The hard scene is the one after that.
- Your team needs live co-editing on one deck, and the customer needs a room-style asset hub.
- You want a prompt draft, chat revisions, and a PPTX or Figma handoff.
- You have an existing PPTX to open and keep editing.
The comparison, in one pass
No rankings. Pitch lines come from the official product, Pitch rooms, and pricing pages, plus help on Pitch rooms, guest invites, Follow collaborators, Create with AI, PowerPoint export, and PDF export. Snapdeck lines come from the product UI checked for this post and the features page. Pitch’s logged-in editor and pitch-room UI were not captured for this post. Claims about Pitch stay on public marketing and help pages.
| Pitch | Snapdeck | |
|---|---|---|
| What you make | Presentation decks, team workspaces, and client Pitch rooms | Presentation slides |
| How you start | Create with AI / Pitch Agent (prompt, file context, template), plus gallery and library templates | Home prompt. Ratios 16:9 / 4:3 / 4:5, slide count, Web Research, Web Scrap, Import PPTX, Auto Agent |
| Team collaboration | Live co-editing, comments, slide assignees/statuses, guest permissions (view / comment / edit), Follow collaborators. Pricing lists teamspaces, guest seats, and shared pitch rooms by plan | Screens matching Pitch-style live co-edit, guest roles, or pitch rooms were not verified in this UI |
| Customer share | Pitch rooms: decks, files, links, and action items in one link, with engagement analytics and link options such as email capture or passcode (help) | The editor has a Share control. Screens matching Pitch rooms or viewer engagement analytics were not seen in this check |
| How you edit | Cloud editor plus Pitch Agent / AI actions (help). Brand, templates, and styles | Slide thumbnails and a canvas. Natural-language requests in Chat. A Design tab for slide background and related properties |
| What you hand off | Help lists PDF (Compressed / High Quality) and PowerPoint (.pptx, marked premium). Figma (.fig) is not in the export help checked here | PDF (.pdf), Images (.png), Figma (.fig), PowerPoint (.pptx) |
| An existing PPT | Pitch has import help separately. A Reference / Import split was not verified in the public Pitch docs for this post | Import PPTX. After upload, Reference or Import. Reference uses the file as source for a new deck. Import opens it as an editable deck |
| Not verified here | The logged-in Pitch app editor and pitch-room UI | Snapdeck screens matching Pitch rooms, live collaboration, or engagement analytics |

Pitch rooms push the deal. A canvas lets you steer the file.
Pitch’s Pitch rooms pitch is a live hub instead of a static PDF in email. Help describes adding presentations, marking action items, and reading link analytics on who viewed what. Inside the team, the product story is one deck with co-editing and guest permissions. The product pages also put HubSpot-style stack connections and engagement data next to that flow.
Snapdeck is a slide editor. Thumbnails sit on the left. The canvas sits in the middle. The Chat placeholder asks you to tell Snapdeck what you want, and says you can add context with @. The Design tab checked for this post exposed slide background options. The screen closest to choosing a look is the template gallery at /template. Dashboard Styles also lists style sets and custom themes. An earlier team blog post says custom themes start on Pro.
The features page also says Snapdeck builds an outline and slide content from a topic, and sets presentation type with Snapdeck Sans. That is product positioning. The UI pass for this post did not show Pitch rooms or multiplayer live cursors.

When the file has to leave
Pitch’s PDF export help says Share → Export, then Compressed PDF or High Quality PDF. Free-plan PDFs may include a Pitch watermark. The PowerPoint export help uses the same Share → Export path for PowerPoint and marks it as a premium feature. It lists supported elements (slides, images, text, shapes, tables, speaker notes, some embedded videos, charts, and more) and unsupported ones (uploaded videos, recordings, animations). The Pitch export help checked for this post does not list Figma (.fig).
Snapdeck’s export menu is titled “덱 내보내기” and lists four formats:
- PDF (.pdf) — a fixed layout for sharing or print
- Images (.png) — one PNG per slide
- Figma (.fig) — a file Figma can import
- PowerPoint (.pptx) — slides you can keep editing in PowerPoint or Keynote
Earlier posts on this blog say PPTX export and Figma (.fig) export are available on Plus and Pro. Those posts also describe the Figma file as one Frame per slide, with text, shapes, and images kept as layers where the export can carry them.
An existing PowerPoint comes into Snapdeck through Import PPTX on the home screen. After upload, the UI shows Reference and Import, with copy about importing as an editable deck. Reference uses the file as source material for a new deck. Import opens that file so you can keep editing it. A Pitch-side Reference / Import split was not verified in the public docs for this post.

Which one to open
Pitch fits when
- Your team needs live co-editing, comments, assignees, and guest permissions on one deck.
- You want Pitch rooms so prospects open one link with decks, files, and next steps — and you want engagement data.
- Create with AI / Pitch Agent plus templates and brand libraries match how the team works.
- Your exits are share links, PDF, and (on paid plans) PPTX, with deal follow-up and CRM connections in Pitch’s official scope.
Snapdeck fits when
- The result has to be a 16:9, 4:3, or 4:5 slide canvas.
- You want a home-prompt draft, then natural-language edits in Chat.
- You need to use an existing PPTX as Reference, or open it with Import and keep editing.
- The last handoff is PowerPoint, or a Figma (.fig) file for a designer.
- You want the
/templategallery or custom themes for style.
Where the scope differs
The Snapdeck screens checked for this post did not show Pitch rooms, live multiplayer editing, guest roles, or engagement analytics the way Pitch’s help and marketing describe them. Pitch’s public export help does not list Figma (.fig). Pitch is closer when team co-editing and client rooms are the center of the job. Snapdeck is closer when the job is a slide canvas, chat revision, and a PPTX or Figma handoff.
Both drafts can look convincing. Decide whether you need a room that moves the deal, or a canvas that ships the file. The tool follows that choice.
So
Both tools get you a first draft with AI. After that, the real difference is team collaboration and pitch rooms versus a slide canvas with Chat, PPTX, and Figma.
If you want slides, an existing PPT you can keep editing, and a Figma file when a designer needs it, open the home prompt or Import PPTX on Snapdeck. ☺️
